RedLizzard - Losing Control

2019

Everyday life, individual experiences and the mix of wills and styles led to REDLIZZARD. Musicians with a similar course in local Portuguese bands found a common ground: the desire to create music.

All the five members are from the same city (Almada, in Portugal) and they got their first rehearsal in January 2008. The first stone was placed in the foundations of this growing building...
The band sought to define an own sound, without being pretentious, enjoying a relaxed and positive attitude, which allowed the flow of previous musical experiences from each member.
During the following three years, played a lot of gigs and they were present in several music competitions, having won some. However, the best was still to come, when they were the big winners of the Competition "Have a Nice Day". On July 31 2011, REDLIZZARD were the opening act for BON JOVI Concert in Lisbon attended by 56,000 people. They were BIG, with an excellent reception from the public.

Their debut EP "In Your Face" was released in 2011, followed by "The Red Album" in 2015 produced by English producer "Slaughter" Joe Foster, who in his curriculum had a production of bands like Jesus and Mary Chain, Primal Scream, or My Bloody Valentine, in addition to having created its Records creators with his friend Alan McGee.

John Cougar - Serious Business

1983

John Mellencamp was born in Seymour, Indiana on October 7, 1951. He started out for a brief period of time as a glam rocker, but then tried out for a solo career with his first album Chestnut Street Incident released by former David Bowie manager, Tony DeFries on the Mainman (division of MCA) label. That album was a complete flop partly due to the fact that the record label wanted to mold John into something he was not (a pretty boy ala James Dean) and the fact that the album mostly consisted of cover songs. It was also the label's idea to release the album under the name Johnny Cougar which Mellencamp did not approve of. It wasn't until the release of American Fool, released this time under the moniker John Cougar, which featured his most well-known hit to date, "Jack & Diane" that he really made it big; the album stayed at #1 on the charts for nine weeks. Following that was Uh-huh which would be his first release under the moniker John Cougar Mellencamp; the name he would stick by until he gradually dropped the "Cougar" and just went by his given name John Mellencamp.
